Economy and trade
In 1.21 emeralds are plentiful and villagers hand out the best books. Neo Industrial makes that economy more expensive without replacing the emerald, using the
Iridium Coin.
Iridium coin
- Hostile mobs killed by a player drop it: 15% chance, up to 25% with Looting III.
- The Ender Dragon drops 10 and the evoker 3.
- Mobs from dungeon spawners and mobs summoned by others (zombie reinforcements, vexes...) do not drop coins.
- It cannot be used to make iridium.
Villagers
- At expert and master level, trades paid in emeralds also ask for 3 coins per emerald.
- The librarian only offers Mending at master level, randomly among other good books, at max level and more expensive.
- Villagers never give iridium, and village chests don't either.
Iridium
There is no iridium ore in the world.
Iridium Shard can be found in dungeon, mineshaft, stronghold and End city chests; 9 shards in the
Compressor make an
Iridium Ore. It can also be replicated with UU-Matter.
Trading between players
Personal blocks can only be opened or broken by their owner (whoever placed them) and operators. The owner removes them with a wrench when they are empty.
Personal Safe: a 54-slot chest nobody else can open or drain with hoppers.
Trade-O-Mat: a vending machine. The owner sets what it asks for (for example 3 coins) and what it gives (for example 1 diamond); goods come from an adjacent chest or a safe of the same owner.
Energy-O-Mat: a toll cable. The owner's energy enters through the sides and leaves through the front while the customer has credit.
