Energy

Energy is measured in EU and travels through cables in packets. Each packet loses a little for every block of cable, and every machine and cable has a maximum voltage:

A machine that receives a packet above its voltage explodes. A cable that receives one burns.

Each insulation layer costs one Rubber. The CF Sprayer can cover them with foam and they keep conducting.

They accept energy from any side and output it only through the front. Chargepads charge your armor and held items while you stand on them.

Transformers

An LV Transformer (32 ↔ 128), MV Transformer (128 ↔ 512), HV Transformer (512 ↔ 2048) or EV Transformer (2048 ↔ 8192) changes the voltage. The side with 5 dots is the high-voltage one. Without redstone it steps down; with a redstone signal it steps up.

The Transformer Upgrade is the alternative: each one lets a machine accept one more voltage tier.

Generators

• Generator: furnace fuel, 10 EU/t.
• Geothermal Generator: lava, 20 EU/t.
• Solar Panel: 1 EU/t in daylight under open sky.
• Semifluid Generator: biogas and liquid fuels from other mods.
• Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator: radioisotope pellets that never run out.
• Kinetic Generator: kinetic energy from windmills, water wheels or steam turbines (see Heat and steam).
